This hotel is under new management. One of the decisions made was to do away with the shuttle to the airport. In my opinion, this is a huge mistake. For years, we've always stayed the night before our flight (and sometimes on the return) and taken the shuttle over to the airport. This saves us a few hours' drive, extra sleep, and parking at the airport. Not to mention the hassle of trying to find our car. My husband and I are Marriott Bonvoy members with titanium status. Upon discovering that the shuttle is no longer offered, we canceled our reservation and stayed next door at The Delta since they provide shuttle service. Still in the Marriott chain. We've always loved the staff at the Residents Inn, but the shuttle is a deal breaker.

Rooms smell old and just not fresh. My co worker said the same thing. I didn't realize until after 2 nights of sleeping here, my comforter was either dirty or stained. Really off putting so it made my third night of sleep uncomfortable. Just felt like I was sleeping in a dirty sleeping bag. The bathroom was nice but no water pressure at all. Only real pro was the kitchen and microwave. Too close to the airport so planes vibrate your room constantly and the train tracks are nearby. AC wouldn't go up or down with the temperature and constantly cuts on and off... on and off. Not the worst place but definitely not the best. Front desk was always super nice.

This hotel was outstanding! It was an immaculate place to spend my 3 days. The fragrance of cleanliness was apparent walking into this hotel. The staff was kind and helpful. On my next trip to Virginia in the spring, I will come back to this Residence Inn Marriott by the airport. It was an amazing experience. An easy 5 stars from me.

Couldn't get a cup of coffee before an early am flight. Lady at front desk was unhelpful & rude. The very kind ladies at the front desk on Thanksgiving were fantastic. Unfortunately the hotel was dirty & littered with trash by guests staying, the tub had stains, the towels had stains & when I tried to use a fork in the drawer, it had food on it. The walls in the room were dirty. I was extremely uncomfortable & hope to not have to visit this particular Residence Inn ever again. Not a good experience.
